Electron Microscopy Facility
The mission of the Electron Micoscopy Facility located on the uptown campus of Tulane University is to provide state-of-the-art capabilities in electron microscopy imaging of biological samples.
Services include: high-resolution microscopy, fine probe techniques (STEM with a HAADF detector), high resolution cyro electron microscopy, tilt imaging, full tomography capabilities, generation of atomic resolution dark-field STEM images and EDS spectroscopy for elemental analysis. The facility is also equipped to carry out low dose exposure techniques to minimize damage to biological tissue samples.
Equipment Tecnai G2 F30 TWIN 300 kV/FEG Transmission Electron Microscope, JEOL 2010 Hi-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (HRTEM), JEOL 200 kV Transmission Electron Microscope, and a Hitachi S-4800 UHR Field Emission Scanning Elecron Microsope.
The Electron Microscopy Facility is managed by Dr. Jibao He. |
